Modern radar is an invaluable tool for the leisure boater, but is only useful in the hands of a knowledgeable operator, potentially dangerous if used while unfamiliar with its strengths and weaknesses. This one day RYA course provides essential skills in understanding the radar screen and interpreting the display for collision avoidance and navigation.
We provide sufficient time for practical sessions; using the screen controls, plotting targets and navigational techniques, using the latest RYA approved software simulators.
No previouse experience is required, however,
some basic navigation knowledge would be an advantage.
Duration: One days.
