This is the first course on the ladder of the RYA's National Powerboat Scheme and provides an introduction to boating techniques. The day covers launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment.
There is no previous experience of boating required. This course is also popular with kids as the minimum age is only 8. Candidates under the age of 16 will be issued an endorsed certificate.
