Any cancellations received later than 14 days will be charged at the full course price. Participation. All courses are run totally in English. Delegates are therefore required to have an English language proficiency
that will enable them to participate fully and meaningfully in the course. Written examinations are necessary on most of the
courses. Please advise us of any learning support each student may require (see ‘Learning Support’ section of this enrolment
form).
Venue. At customers premises please ensure that a room of adequate size to accommodate total amount of students is made solely available for the course. We would also require sufficient lighting, power points, tables and seating for students to enable the instructor to carry out the course effectively.
Liability. If any course is over or under subscribed, Lyme Bay Sea School reserves the right to reschedule as necessary, although this is something we largely try to avoid. In this event however, every effort will be made to give as much notice as possible. Lyme Bay Sea School shall not be liable for the failure to perform its duties due to death, illness, accident, industrial dispute, and third party default or for any reason outside of their reasonable control.
Certificates. In order to maintain high standards, certificates will only be issued where the course instructor is satisfied that the student has reached the necessary standard. The Principal and Instructors decision shall be final.
Protective Clothing. Students attending a course which involves going to sea, whether in a confined water (lake, harbour or
marina) or the open sea will be required to bring their own suitable warm clothing, wet weather gear and sun protection. Where
required, life jackets will be provided.
Water Sessions. Every attempt will be made to allow students maximum time on the water during relevant courses. However,
if, in the instructor’s opinion, weather conditions, safety or any other reason renders it non-prudent to stay out, the instructor
may decide to cancel or postpone a training session. The instructor’s decision will be final.
Sea Sickness. Instructors will not provide any medication or remedies for any individuals use for the relief of symptoms associated with seasickness. If a student decides to take his or her own seasickness medication or remedy, the student must inform the instructor.
